Salt Magazine is a FREE African-Australian News Magazine. As we are a not-for-profit magazine, we require volunteers to contribute to the magazine, especially those from Africa. Some of the areas we are looking for assistance in are:
Writers
Are you a keen and passionate writer who would love to share their thoughts? Articles can be about anything you want, just get in touch with us to discuss your ideas. Your stories will be published both online and in the printed issues. Send an email to hello@saltmagazine.org if you are interested.
Event submissions
We want to showcase the many African events going on around Australia, so simply send us an email with the details of your event and we can add to our events page!
Recipe Swap
Calling all food enthusiasts! Every issue we want to share a new recipe from a different part of Africa. You don’t need to be a chef, you just simply need to be able to cook and share a recipe for us to publish. And we want to share Australian and African recipes alike, so perhaps you are an Aussie and you have Great Grandma’s tea cake recipe that you are willing to share, we’d love to hear from you!!
Photo submissions
Have you recently hosted an African event or want to promote the work you are doing? We’d love to show what’s going on around the African community in Australia by sharing photos. Simply send us your photos to hello@saltmagazine.org!
Advertising sales & marketing
We are looking for someone who has experience in advertising sales and marketing that could help us sell advertising for the magazine.
You’d need to have the time to be committed and follow up on various leads. There would be opportunity for you to make a commission on any sales you made in this role. If you think you have what it takes, send us an email to advertise@saltmagazine.org.
