Newcomer Gazele premieres new single in the lead up to her EP Release

Flamboyant, fun and unapologetically soulful, Gazele is an artist whose music perfectly balances the raw honesty of soul music with contemporary pop. Since debuting in 2014, Gazele has spent the past year perfecting her craft through working with artist such as Australian ARIA darling Jessica Mauboy (The Sapphires movie) and The Voice Australia alumni Ms Murphy as a backing vocalist. Gazele is now ready to release her debut EP, LoveLife on June 18th.

LoveLife, is a 4 track excursion through joyful, contemporary pop stylings that showcases the Nigerian-Australian Gazele’s raspy, powerful vocals and strong songwriting skills. Led by the newly released single “On My Mind”, which is reminiscent of Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” and Beyonce’s “Love On Top”, LoveLife explores themes of love over live instrumentation to create a spirited, full sound.

About Gazele

Hailing from a musical family, Nigerian-Australian singer/songwriter Gazele couples the fierce energy of soul singers such as Liv Warfield with the pop sensibility of Emeli Sande to create a vibrant musical experience. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Music, in 2014 Gazele received an Award for Excellence from the Celebration of African Australians Inc NSW and performed with high profile artists, touring extensively with ARIA award winning pop star Jessica Mauboy and providing backing vocals for The Voice alumni Ms Murphy’s soon to be released Dirty Soul album. In late 2014 Gazele stepped into the studio to finalise her forthcoming EP, LoveLife, a 4 track excursion through joyful, contemporary pop stylings that is due for release in June 2015. ‘Soulful Gazele’ is poised and ready to pounce on the music industry and Salt magazine would like to wish her all the best.
