The Objectives of the YOUTH FORUM:

Creative arts is becoming one of the fastest booming industries here, and many African Australian Youth are venturing into business and creative arts projects. Our idea is to endorse a new face of African Youth but also offer mentorship as we groom them to be leaders of tommorow. “What image do the African youth have in the community”

Question: How does racial identity and related self-esteem issues affect the mental well-being of black people in the African Australian context?

Aim: This forum will give mainly give the youths words of wisdomand practical advice who are already or who want to venture into businesses and projects in creative arts.

Topics:

  1. Projects and business adventures
  2. Bridging the gap between the novice and expert
  3. The hurdles of being an African youth
  4. Mentorship and developing youth leaders

Format: Speeches first. Q&A (1.5 hours)
Location: RMIT University (Kaleide Theatre)
