Based on the novel of the same name by Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the film covers the human aspect of the Nigerian Civil War, which resulted from the attempted secession of several south eastern provinces of Nigeria into the Republic of Biafra.
Starring Oscar nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor (Twelve Years a Slave) and International star Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness), the film was released in Cinemas in Australia in March 2014 and is now available to be purchased online.
